Craniosacral Therapy is helpful for people of all ages because of its gentle nature and positive effects on all systems of the body.
Adult Craniosacral Therapy
- Craniosacral therapy bolsters self healing by improving the structural balance of the body. It is a holistic approach that incorporates the mind, body, and spirit.
- CST complements the body's natural healing processes and is used as a preventative health measure for its ability to increase resistance to disease.
- Many people with pain conditions experience great benefits from CST. Back pain, neck pain, headaches, fibromyalgia, acute or chronic pain, all have shown decreased pain with this treatment approach.
- Easing and releasing tension strain patterns associated with pregnancy is easily done for relief to the mothers and for the newborns as they are profoundly receptive to this work.
- CST is effective in a wide range of medical problems. It complements and supports other treatment interventions and medical treatment programs as evidenced by the large number of referrals I see from local neurologists, internists, PCP, pediatricians, obstetricians, dentists, midwives, psychologists, lactation consultants, chiropractors, massage therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech therapists requesting Craniosacral Therapy for their patients.
- Patients may be self-referred or referred by your provider.
- Multi-therapist sessions are also available at this facility.
- Sessions are by appointment only.
Pediatric Craniosacral Therapy
CST is safe and effective for newborns, babies, and children of all ages. CST helps the body gently correct itself. Using gentle palpation skills and working through the central nervous system(CNS), while following fascia patterns, babies can be helped with a wide variety of issues . Craniosacral Therapy can help relieve tension and fascia strain patterns after the birth process, calming fussy babies, improving sleep, latch/jaw tension, reflux/digestion, fascia/muscle restrictions, plagiocephaly (misshapen heads), tongue tie and much more, including all forms of generalized upset.
Pediatric CST provides an early benefit in these areas:
- increases and maintains overall health
- increases relaxation and stillness
- increases and maintains body awareness
- decreases stress tension and pain
- may prevent unnecessary procedures
Additionally for pediatric clients, early CST may help alleviate challenges
in feeding, sleeping, learning, personality, behavioral, structural and sensory areas, reduce inflammation or negative side effects from immunizations as well as boost the immune system and prevent recurring ear infections without the use of antibiotics.
